Historicamente, o enorme crescimento foi alavancado pela globaliza\u00e7\u00e3o e industrializa\u00e7\u00e3o. Em 2015, a <a href=\"https:\/\/onlinelibrary.wiley.com\/doi\/epdf\/10.2175\/106143017X15131012152951?purchase_referrer=onlinelibrary.wiley.com&amp;tracking_action=preview_click&amp;r3_referer=wol&amp;show_checkout=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">produ\u00e7\u00e3o global de a\u00e7o bruto<\/a> pesou 89,6 milh\u00f5es de toneladas m\u00e9tricas. O consumo de a\u00e7o est\u00e1 crescendo em todos os setores, e o uso da \u00e1gua est\u00e1 crescendo junto com ele. Por exemplo, a produ\u00e7\u00e3o de uma tonelada m\u00e9trica de a\u00e7o na \u00cdndia requer 60 m\u00b3 de \u00e1gua.<\/p>\n<p>Infelizmente, a produ\u00e7\u00e3o de a\u00e7o tamb\u00e9m est\u00e1 associada \u00e0 contamina\u00e7\u00e3o em grande escala. A \u00e1gua \u00e9 usada par <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mdpi.com\/2073-4441\/9\/11\/874\/pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">processos, resfriamento, descalcifica\u00e7\u00e3o e limpeza de poeira<\/a>. Mas na realidade muito pouca \u00e1gua \u00e9 consumida, a maior parte \u00e9 reutilizada ou descartada. A \u00e1gua doce \u00e9 geralmente usada para processos e resfriamento, enquanto a \u00e1gua do mar \u00e9 geralmente usada em sistemas de resfriamento de ciclo \u00fanico ap\u00f3s o pr\u00e9-tratamento.<\/p>\n<h3>Ciclo de Produ\u00e7\u00e3o de A\u00e7o<\/h3>\n<p>O a\u00e7o \u00e9 produzido a partir de mat\u00e9rias-primas em um ciclo integrado, ou com sucata fundida em forno a arco el\u00e9trico (EAF, por sua sigla em ingl\u00eas). O consumo m\u00e9dio de \u00e1gua das plantas integradas \u00e9 de 28,6 m3 por tonelada de a\u00e7o, com descarte m\u00e9dio de 25,3 m\u00b3\/t. Para as plantas de EAF, a ingest\u00e3o m\u00e9dia \u00e9 de 28,1 m\u00b3\/t, com descarte m\u00e9dio de 26,5 m\u00b3\/t. O consumo total de \u00e1gua por tonelada m\u00e9trica, portanto, \u00e9 baixo, entre 1,6 &#8211; 3,3 m\u00b3. A perda de \u00e1gua prov\u00e9m principalmente da evapora\u00e7\u00e3o e 90% da \u00e1gua \u00e9 descartada ap\u00f3s o resfriamento e o tratamento. Ent\u00e3o \u00e9 comumente utilizado por outros servi\u00e7os.<\/p>\n<p>As plantas integradas de a\u00e7o cont\u00eam v\u00e1rias se\u00e7\u00f5es e plantas menores. Uma planta integrada poderia ter uma \u00e1rea de gest\u00e3o de mat\u00e9rias-primas, uma planta de sinteriza\u00e7\u00e3o, uma planta de fornos de coque, um alto-forno, uma oficina de fundi\u00e7\u00e3o de a\u00e7o (SMS, por sua sigla em ingl\u00eas), uma planta de oxig\u00eanio, laminadores e moinhos comerciais. No total, as diferentes se\u00e7\u00f5es e plantas componentes podem cobrir v\u00e1rios km<sup>2<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<h3>Remedia\u00e7\u00e3o de \u00c1gua<\/h3>\n<p>Muitas sider\u00fargicas precisam urgentemente de uma tecnologia atualizada de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fluencecorp.com\/pt\/solucoes-tratamento-agua\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">tratamento de \u00e1gua<\/a>. Os modos de tratamento herdados n\u00e3o podem remediar completamente a \u00e1gua para recupera\u00e7\u00e3o, mas t\u00e9cnicas mais recentes, como a separa\u00e7\u00e3o por membranas s\u00e3o muito promissoras.<\/p>\n<p>As correntes residuais t\u00edpicas da ind\u00fastria sider\u00fargica cont\u00eam compostos perigosos, como compostos org\u00e2nicos complexos de benzeno tolueno xileno (BTX) e hidrocarbonetos arom\u00e1ticos polic\u00edclicos (PAHs), cianeto, am\u00f4nia, tiocianato, fen\u00f3is e cres\u00f3is. Estes compostos apresentam desafios para o tratamento.<\/p>\n<p>As etapas de tratamento podem incluir muitas tecnologias diferentes. A separa\u00e7\u00e3o f\u00edsica, que pode incluir a sedimenta\u00e7\u00e3o por gravidade, peneiramento e remo\u00e7\u00e3o de \u00f3leo, \u00e9 comumente usada nas etapas prim\u00e1rias, mas a tecnologia de membrana \u00e9 agora tamb\u00e9m uma boa alternativa \u00e0 separa\u00e7\u00e3o tradicional. href=\"https:\/\/www.fluencecorp.com\/pt\/ultrafiltracao\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ultrafiltra\u00e7\u00e3o<\/a> podem produzir um alto n\u00edvel de remo\u00e7\u00e3o de
